01

A stronger foundation

The Senate's September update reports that the Peace Tower has a new foundation, secured to Centre Block's main level.

02

Conservation in view

Scaffolding is the next step for the tower. Expect work, screening and changing views, rather than the unobstructed scenes in older photographs.

03

A more accessible Parliament

Building systems are being updated, alongside improvements to accessibility, safety and energy performance.

04

A target, not an opening date

PSPC is aiming to finish construction in 2030–2031, with reopening anticipated a year later after testing. Check official updates before making plans.

Visitor and project information checked 30 September 2026. This independent guide is a dated snapshot; official notices take precedence.
